Changing the default stem direction of notes on single-line percussion staves

You can change the default stem direction of all notes on single-line percussion staves project-wide, including grace notes.

Procedure

  1. Press Ctrl/Cmd-Shift-E to open Engraving Options.
  2. In the category list, click Percussion.
  3. In the Single-line Percussion section, choose one of the following options for Default stem direction:

    • Up

    • Down

  4. Activate/Deactivate Grace notes follow default stem direction.
  5. Click Apply, then Close.
