Example

Let’s say that you want to create a pitchbend effect, so that the pitch is raised linearly by exactly 2 semitones in a specific part of the selected audio.

Procedure

  1. Click Reset to remove all curve points.
  2. Click Linear Interpolation to select a linear curve.
  3. Set Range to 2 semitones or higher.
  4. Set a starting point for the pitchbend by adding a curve point.
  5. Use Fine-Tune to set the curve point to 0 cents and the pitch to 0.
  6. Specify the horizontal position where you want the pitchbend to reach the full value by adding a new curve point.

This curve point determines the rise time of the pitchbend. The further away you position it from the starting point, the longer it takes until pitchbend reaches the full value.

  7. Use Transpose and Fine-Tune to set the pitch of the new curve point to exactly 2 semitones.
  8. Set the pitchbend duration, that is, the time the pitch remains transposed by adding a new curve point.
  9. Optional: Add a new point where you want the pitchbend to end.

This is not necessary if you are at the end of the audio file, since there is always an end point at the right side of the waveform display.

  10. Click Process.

Result

The pitchbend is applied according to the specified settings.
