Audio File Editing
Audio file editing refers to opening, editing, and saving audio files.
Metadata
Metadata consists of attributes that describe the audio contents, for example, the title of the track, the author, or the recording date of the track. Depending on the file format of the selected audio file, this data varies.
CART and Markers
WaveLab Pro reads the CART markers, if any, and merges them with the existing markers of the file.

WaveLab Pro reads the CART markers, if any, and merges them with the existing markers of the file.

The CART standard can contain up to 8 markers. WaveLab Pro saves them if their names conform to the CART standard.

If Generate Time Markers is activated in the CART tab of the Metadata dialog, the markers are generated if at least one CART text field has content. Otherwise, the CART data is meant to be unused.

To be able to merge the CART markers with the markers of a file when rendering a file, the option Copy Markers must be activated using the Render function in the Master Section.
