Showing metronome marks as approximate

You can show individual metronome marks as approximate, and change the appearance of the approximate indication.

Prerequisite

  • The lower zone is shown.

  • Properties is selected in the lower zone toolbar.

  • If you are in Engrave mode, Graphic Editing Graphic Editing button is selected in the Engrave toolbox.

Procedure

  1. Select the metronome marks that you want to show as approximate. You can do this in Write mode and Engrave mode.
  2. In the Properties panel, activate Is approximate in the Tempo group.
  3. Optional: Change the appearance of the approximate indication in any of the following ways:

    • Activate Approximate appearance, then select the approximate appearance you want from the menu.

    • Activate Show equals sign, then activate/deactivate the corresponding checkbox.

Result

The selected metronome marks are shown as approximate.

Tip

You can change the default appearance of all approximate metronome marks project-wide on the Tempo page in Engraving Options.
