Changing the appearance of tied notes on tablature

By default, tied notes on tablature appear as parenthesized fret numbers at the start of subsequent bars. You can change the appearance of all tied notes/chords on tablature project-wide; for example, to show ties in addition to fret numbers, or to show only one tie per chord.

Procedure

1. Press Ctrl/Cmd-Shift-E to open Engraving Options.
2. In the category list, click Tablature.
3. In the Ties section, choose one of the following options for Tied notes in tablature:

   • Show fret numbers, with ties

   • Parenthesize fret numbers, no ties

   • Parenthesize fret numbers, with ties

   • Hide fret numbers except at start of bar, no ties

   • Hide fret numbers and ties

4. Choose one of the following options for Number of ties in chords:

   • Show single tie

   • Show ties for each pair of notes

5. Click Apply, then Close.
