This section describes techniques for editing in the Project window. If not explicitly stated, all descriptions apply to both events and parts, even though we use the term event for convenience.
Renaming Events

Renaming Events

Procedure

Do one of the following:
- Select the events, select Edit > Rename > Rename Selected Events, and type the new name into the text field of the Rename Selected Events dialog.
  
  Note
  Alternatively, you can open the Rename Selected Events dialog via a key command (by default F2) or the context menu.
- Select the events, and type a new name into the File field on the info line.
- Change the track name, hold down a modifier key, and press Return to rename all events according to the track.
