Assigning key commands for custom zoom levels

You can assign key commands for multiple custom zoom levels; for example, if you regularly use zoom levels not available from the preset menu in the status bar.

Procedure

  1. Press Ctrl/Cmd-, to open Preferences.
  2. In the category list, click Key Commands.
  3. In the functions list, expand View, then select Zoom.
  4. In the Key Commands section, enter the zoom level for which you want to assign a key command into the Parameter ‘ZoomPercent’ value field.
  5. Click the Press shortcut input field.
  6. On your computer keyboard, press the key command that you want to assign.
  7. Click Add Key Command.

If the key command you pressed is already used by another function, a warning is displayed.

  8. Click Apply.

The functions list is refreshed, and Zoom is no longer selected. To assign key commands for other custom zoom levels, you must navigate to Zoom again in the functions list.

  9. Click Close.

Result

The key command you pressed is added to the list of assigned key commands for the selected zoom level.

In the functions list, Zoom now has a disclosure arrow and your new zoom level is listed beneath. Each zoom level for which you have assigned a key command appears separately.
