Adding copyright information

You can enter copyright information for the project and for each flow, independently of each other; for example, when compiling books of songs composed at different times.

In projects that only contain a single flow, you can enter information for either the project or flow. However, you must then ensure that you use the appropriate tokens.

Dorico Elements displays the project copyright on first pages automatically, using a token on the First page template.

Procedure

  1. Press Ctrl/Cmd-I to open the Project Info dialog.
  2. In the list on the left, select Project.
  3. On the right, enter copyright information for the whole project in the Copyright field.
  4. Optional: Repeat steps 2 to 3 for each flow in the project.
    Tip

You can copy project information that you have already entered by selecting the source from the Copy info from menu at the bottom of the dialog, then clicking Copy.

  5. Click Apply, then Close.

Result

Copyright information for the project and each flow is updated. It automatically appears on pages that use the corresponding tokens, such as the first page.

By default, copyright information on first pages uses the Copyright paragraph style for text formatting and alignment.
